The bicycle has always been part of my life. It’s been my companion through challenges, victories, and endless roads. For years I raced at a competitive level, and later in the granfondos — always driven by the same passion and desire to push my limits. Then came a new chapter at the Dory Bike Hotel, one of the top bike hotels in Europe. There I discovered a different side of cycling — not competition, but hospitality, connection, and shared experiences. Those were years of growth, creativity, and meaningful encounters. Today begins a new adventure: Controvento. A personal project born from the heart, created to share my Italy in all its beauty — landscapes, traditions, culture, and flavors — through custom cycling and hiking tours designed for those who seek genuine emotions. Nothing taken for granted. Just authentic experiences, built with passion, together with my family and my wife, who are part of every ride and every step. 🌿 Controvento: because the right direction is the one that makes you feel alive.

His background is in mountain biking, and being from Rome, he also knows that city like “the back of his hand,” or, the gears of his bike! Honestly, we really do admire his southern accent. When he speaks, it’s like he is singing a happy tune, even if he is just ordering a pizza or arguing about football. Perhaps that just makes him even more Italian. "I hope to appeal to everybody. For some, the goal is to simply enjoy the artistic, cultural, and culinary richness of Italy. For others, we can explore challenging trails and discover breath-taking views. After years of experience at a renowned bike hotel on the Romagna Riviera, he’s now our go-to person for all things logistics — from bikes to food during our tours. Always helpful and detail-oriented, Filippo knows how to make every break special, carefully selecting local and traditional products. He’s also a skilled mechanic and a true lover of gravel and muddy roads, where the fun really begins — because for him, cleaning and tuning the bikes after an adventure is part of the joy of the journey.
