Why Ayiti Cheri Italia Onlus?

Adopting Daïna, a Haitian girl, deeply changed Alberto and his wife Carlotta, strengthening their bond with Haiti and their awareness of the challenges faced by vulnerable children. Through their adoption journey and time spent in the country, they recognized the importance of sustainable, community-based humanitarian projects and committed themselves to supporting initiatives that protect and offer a hopeful future to Haitian children.

Our Official Commitment

To support this cause, AYITI CHERI ITALIA Onlus was founded as a transparent, officially registered non-profit organization that also allows donors to benefit from tax deductions. The association supports the BRESMA Foundation, active since 2003, which runs orphanages and schools in Haiti, providing free education, daily meals, uniforms, and school supplies to children from the most vulnerable families, in accordance with the Haitian Ministry of Education’s programs.

We are the first to help.

At Ayiti Cheri Italia Onlus, we have been personally supporting five children from the Bresma schools for two years, helping them pursue their dreams. Darla wants to become a doctor, Mikely an engineer, Woodmay a lawyer, Williams a scientist, and Neila a teacher. Do you remember what you wanted to be at their age?

The facility, supported by associations and adoptive families, hosts 60 - 80 children and meets essential needs such as food, healthcare, clothing, infrastructure, and education. Through the BRESMA schools in Port-au-Prince and Castaches, hundreds of children receive free education, uniforms, school supplies, and daily meals. These schools prioritize disadvantaged families, employ local Haitian staff, and operate in accordance with the Haitian Ministry of Public Education’s curriculum.
