Embark on an exciting mountain bike adventure through some of the
most spectacular landscapes of the Slovenian and Italian Alps.
Experience the thrill of cycling through the Julian Alps in Bohinj,
the Carnic Alps in Sauris, the Dolomites in Cavalese and the majestic
Italian Alps in Bormio.

Gravel Art crosses north Italy Alps on a moderate difficulty route, starting in the area of Bohinj, in the heart of its most authentic Mountains and finishing in the beautiful Bormio, surrounded by iconic landscapes.
The trip lasts a total of 13 or 18 days, with days dedicated to cycling and hiking,
covering daily 65 km and elevation of 800 m.

After arriving at the airport, the trip begins with a transfer to Bohinj, a picturesque town nestled in the heart of the Julian Alps, where the breathtaking landscape and peaceful atmosphere will welcome you. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to settle in and relax, preparing your body and mind for the adventures that await you. In the afternoon, there will be a preparation meeting with the guide, during which you will be given all the information about the stages of the tour, both for the cycling days and for the hiking days. You will be able to
If you opt for the bike tour, the second day will take you to discover Kropa.
You will cycle through picturesque landscapes, with views ranging from green
valleys to Alpine forests, and you will pass through ancient villages that
tell the tradition of rural Slovenia. If you prefer hiking, the second day
will lead you to the Triglav National Park, one of the most protected and
fascinating natural areas in Slovenia. Here, you will have the opportunity
to immerse yourself in the wild beauty of the Julian Alps, walking 9 km with
an altitude difference of 610 meters

The third day will take you on a suggestive ride in the Julian Lakes,
a route of 82 km with an altitude difference of 1610 meters. You will
cycle through extraordinary landscapes, enjoying incredible views of
crystal clear waters and majestic mountains. If you choose to hike on
the third day you will explore "The Gallery", a fascinating hike of 8
km and 410 meters of elevation gain. Along the way, you will have the
opportunity to discover unique geological features and enjoy the tranquility
that characterizes this part of the National Park

The fourth day culminates with a long ride through the Baka River Valley,
a 101 km route with 1380 meters of elevation gain. During the ride, you
will appreciate the serenity and beauty of the river landscapes, while
the Baka River, flowing through rocks and forests, will accompany you
along the entire route. If you choose to hike you will discover Mala
Osijnca, with a 12 km walk and 550 meters of altitude difference.
The walk will offer you a spectacular view of the region, giving you
a broad perspective on the natural beauty of the Julian Alps and the
surrounding landscapes.

The fifth day will be dedicated to the transfer to Sauris, a picturesque alpine town located in the heart of the Friulian Dolomites. After days of adventure and unspoiled nature, you will have the opportunity to relax during the journey and prepare yourself to discover the wonders that this area has to offer.

On the seventh day, a challenging but spectacular stage awaits you, with an
83 km ride towards Lago d’Oro, passing through Auronzo and Passo Sant'Antonio,
tackling an altitude difference of 2280 metres. If you choose to go hiking,
the seventh day will take you to discover hidden corners and breathtaking views,
while the route will lead you through woods and mountain pastures.

The eighth day will begin with the epic climb to the Terrible Zoncolan,
a 91 km route with 3320 metres of altitude difference, a challenge for
the most experienced cyclists, but also an unforgettable experience thanks
to the spectacular views. the eighth day will be dedicated to a walk in one
of the most spectacular corners of the Dolomites, offering moments of
relaxation and deep connection with the surrounding nature.

The ninth day will be dedicated to the transfer to Cavalese, a picturesque town in the heart of Val di Fiemme, surrounded by the magnificent Dolomites. During the journey, you will have the opportunity to relax and admire the breathtaking views that characterize this beautiful Alpine region. Cavalese, with its traditional charm and welcoming atmosphere, will be the ideal base to continue the adventure and discover the natural and cultural wonders of the Dolomites.
On the tenth day you will start with a panoramic tour that will take
you to Pampeago and Lake Carezza, covering 65 km and 1925 meters of
altitude difference, immersed in spectacular landscapes. if you choose
the excursion, the tenth day will take you to discover the Corno Nero,
with a 12 km walk and 970 meters of altitude difference that will offer
you incredible views of the region.

The eleventh day will be dedicated to the legendary Sellaronda,
a 99 km loop with 2350 meters of altitude difference that will
give you strong emotions and incredible views. On day 11, instead,
you will have the opportunity to explore the Passo Sella area and
the surrounding valleys, with an excursion that will lead you to
breathtaking views. if you choose the excursion on the eleventh
day you will explore Val Moena and its waterfalls on a 10 km hike
with a 400 m difference in altitude, a simpler but equally fascinating
route.

The twelfth day will be another intense day with the route taking
you through Rolle Valles and San Pellegrino, a 92 km ride with 2420
metres of altitude difference, with a stop for a traditional lunch
in an alpine hut. If you choose to hike on day 12, you will hike 17
km with 760 meters of elevation gain to reach the top of Monte Cucal,
where spectacular panoramic views await you.

On the thirteenth day, a more relaxed ride awaits you in Val di
Fiemme on a 40 km gravel route with a 1,450 m difference in altitude,
perfect for enjoying nature without too much effort. If you choose
to go hiking on the thirteenth day you can go on an excursion to the
Bombasel Lakes which will allow you to explore one of the most peaceful
and uncontaminated areas of the Val di Fiemme.

The fourteenth day will be dedicated to the transfer to Bormio,
a historic Alpine resort famous for its thermal baths and for
being an ideal starting point for exploring the Alps. During this
day of travel, you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy
the scenery as you head towards this picturesque town, which offers
a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. After arriving in bormio, in the
afternoon we will take a panoramic ride that will lead you to the
Torri di Fraele and the Cancano lakes, covering 30 km and 915 meters
of altitude difference.

On the fifteenth day we will tackle one of the most legendary routes
in the Alps: the Stelvio, with a challenging climb of 100 km and 3022
meters of altitude difference, which will give you a breathtaking view
from the top. If you choose to go hiking on the fifteenth day you will
have the opportunity to hike to Mount Scorluzzo and the war village,
a 7.3 km route with a 670 m elevation gain that will allow you to
discover the history and beauty of this area.

The sixteenth day will be dedicated to the Mortirolo challenge,
one of the most feared and iconic passes for cycling enthusiasts,
with 78 km and 2,530 meters of elevation gain. This challenging climb,
which has made the history of the Giro d'Italia, offers spectacular
views and represents a true test of endurance, providing an
unforgettable experience to those who face this Alpine challenge.
If you choose to hike on day sixteen you can walk around Lake Cancano,
a 16 km hike with 1150 meters of elevation gain, which will offer you
spectacular views of the surrounding nature.

On day seventeen, a more relaxing ride awaits you through the
Bormio Balcony, a panoramic route that winds along the slopes of
the surrounding mountains, offering spectacular views of the valley
and the Alpine landscapes. During this day, you can enjoy the
tranquility of nature, pedaling on less demanding but equally
fascinating roads. If you choose to walk you can explore the
Bormio Balcony with a 9 km route and 870 meters of altitude
difference that will allow you to enjoy incredible views of
the valleys and mountains.
HIKE: KM 52 - MI 32 | MT 1497 - FT 4900
HIKE: KM 18 - MI 11 | MT 1390 - FT 4560
The eighteenth day will culminate with the Gavia Pass, a 52km
route with 1497m of elevation gain, perfect for those looking
for a moderate but still exciting challenge. Offering
breathtaking views of mountains and valleys, this iconic
climb is a unique experience for cyclists who want to test
their endurance while enjoying extraordinary views of the
Alps and the natural beauty that surrounds the pass. If you
choose to hike, the eighteenth day will take you to the
historic Military Road, an 18 km hike with 1,390 metres of
elevation gain that will allow you to discover the charm of
the mountain.

The nineteenth day will be dedicated to the transfer to the airport, thus concluding an unforgettable adventure among the wonders of the Alps. During the return journey, you will have time to reflect on the breathtaking views, the challenges overcome and the moments of pure beauty experienced along the way, taking with you indelible memories of a unique experience that will remain in your heart for a long time.
The tour includes 11 nights in luxury accommodation (twin share), breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, guides and vehicle support, mechanical assistance, on road snacks and supplements, a daypack and bidons, laundry service for cycling kit, and group airport transfers.
The tour does not include flights, travel insurances, bike hire, alcoholic beverages, coffee stops, personal hotel expenses, optional excursions, tips, phone charges, internet access, souvenirs, additional snacks or drinks, personal medical costs, or any other expenses incurred outside of the included services and itinerary.
