O' Sole Mio crosses Sicily on a moderate difficulty route, starting in the area of Castellamare, in the heart of its most authentic beaches, crosses Modica and finishing in the beautiful Etna Volcano, surrounded by iconic landscapes.
The trip lasts a total of 10 days, with 8 days dedicated to cycling,

Today’s ride takes you along one of western Sicily’s most spectacular
coastal routes. Starting at Guidaloca Bay, we’ll pedal past crystal-clear
waters, dramatic cliffs, and charming fishing villages, soaking in the
Mediterranean scenery. The route follows winding coastal roads,
offering breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding mountains,
before reaching the iconic San Vito Lo Capo, famous for its golden
beaches, turquoise waters, and lively atmosphere.
A perfect combination of challenging climbs, scenic descents, and Sicilian
coastal charm makes this ride unforgettable.

This scenic ride takes you from the sea to the Sicilian hills and back.
Starting in Castellammare del Golfo, you’ll climb inland through vineyards
and olive groves toward Partinico, known for its wine and lively markets.
The route continues to San Giuseppe Jato, surrounded by fertile valleys
and timeless rural landscapes, before looping back through Alcamo,
a hilltop town famous for its Bianco d’Alcamo wine and historic charm.
Smooth roads, authentic villages, and sweeping views make this route
a perfect mix of challenge, culture, and pure Sicilian beauty.

A day dedicated to discovering Palermo, a city where Arab, Norman, and Baroque influences meet. We’ll reach the capital by van and join our local guide for a walk through its historic center, lively markets, and magnificent churches. After some free time to explore or enjoy a coffee in one of its elegant piazzas, we’ll head back to Castellammare del Golfo.
Today’s ride takes us west through one of the most captivating landscapes
in Sicily. Leaving Castellammare del Golfo, we’ll pedal along quiet country
roads surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and gentle rolling hills,
with the scent of the Mediterranean in the air. As we climb toward the
highlands overlooking Trapani, the view opens to a breathtaking
panorama — the shimmering sea, the white salt pans, and beyond them,
the beautiful Egadi Islands floating on the horizon.
It’s a route that combines natural beauty, history, and emotion — a perfect
blend of effort and reward, where every turn of the pedal reveals the majestic
charm of western Sicily.

Today we leave the northern coast behind and journey south toward the baroque
beauty of Modica. Along the way, we’ll stop in Agrigento to explore the iconic
Valley of the Temples, a stunning archaeological site where ancient Greek temples
rise majestically from the Sicilian landscape. The drive itself is a journey through
the heart of Sicily — rolling hills dotted with vineyards and olive groves, charming
towns frozen in time, and panoramic views of the southern coastline.
From fertile valleys to dramatic cliffs, each stop offers a glimpse of Sicily’s rich
history, culture, and natural beauty. We’ll continue through scenic inland roads before
reaching Modica, where the unique charm of its baroque architecture and famous chocolate
awaits us, marking the perfect end to a day full of discovery and spectacular landscapes.

Our Sicilian adventure begins in the charming town of Modica, with its stunning
baroque streets and famous chocolate. Today’s ride takes us south toward the coast,
offering beautiful views of the Marina di Modica and the seaside village of Donnalucata,
where the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean meet sandy beaches. After enjoying the
coastal scenery, we’ll climb back inland through rolling hills and lush countryside,
passing through the historic town of Scicli, known for its baroque architecture and cinematic
charm. The route brings us back to Modica, completing a perfect loop that combines coastal
beauty, inland landscapes, and Sicilian heritage.
We’ll also enjoy a Pasta Making Class, learning to
prepare fresh Sicilian pasta with a local cook.
KM 70 - MI 43 | MT 810 - FT 2660
Today we explore the baroque charm of Ragusa, just a short ride from Modica.
Cycling through gentle Sicilian hills, we’ll reach the historic center,
where narrow streets, elegant piazzas, and traditional local shops create
a truly authentic atmosphere. Take time to admire the stunning architecture,
enjoy a coffee or gelato in a lively square, and immerse yourself in the flavors
and culture of this beautiful town before returning to Modica.
KM 55 - MI 34 | MT 1000 - FT 3280
Today we say goodbye to beautiful Sicily. We’ll transfer by van from Modica
to Catania Airport, enjoying the final glimpses of the island’s rolling hills,
historic towns, and Mediterranean landscapes along the way. A heartfelt thank
you to all participants for sharing this incredible journey. We hope the memories
of Sicily’s scenery, culture, and cycling adventures will stay with you — and we
look forward to the next adventure together!

The tour includes 11 nights in luxury accommodation (twin share), breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, guides and vehicle support, mechanical assistance, on road snacks and supplements, a daypack and bidons, laundry service for cycling kit, and group airport transfers.
